  Flood Threat Ends
   
           
    

       
    The flood threat for the Chenango County area is largely over at this time. While there will continue to be some rises of local creeks and streams, less than an inch of rain has fallen, which is not enough to cause flooding.
  
   
  The National Weather Service advises the Flash Flood Watch will be allowed to expire this afternoon.  There is still the chance of scattered rain throughout the day, but nothing is forecast that will trigger flooding problems in our area.
   
  Some gusty winds, particularly in higher elevations, is still possible today.  Be alert to the possibility of fallen wires and trees if you will be traveling.
